Other ranks' beret badge, The South Lancashire Regiment (The Prince of Wales's Volunteers), 1950 (c)

This badge consists of the Prince of Wales' plume, coronet and motto 'Ich Dien' (I serve) above the Sphinx. The latter sits on a tablet inscribed 'Egypt'. Branches of laurel surround the motif and scrolls inscribed 'South Lancashire' and Prince of Wales's Volunteers' connect the ends of the laurels.
