'Ney in the Waterloo Campaign'

Written by an unknown author, this eight chapter treatise argues that John Codman Ropes, author of 'The Campaign of Waterloo', and Henri Houssaye, author of 'Waterloo', unfairly criticised the actions of Marshal Ney between 15-18 June 1815, and seeks to explain Ney's actions in the context of the campaign.

This section contains two chapters:

Chapter 1 - a. The Morning Orders, b. Napoleon wakes up too late, c. The attacks upon Ney are continued. Chapter 2 - a. Ney on the morning of the 17th June, b. The collapse of Ney's cavalry, c. Gobrecht's Brigade at Qatre Bras, d. Ney at and after mid-day on the 17th, e. The retreat of the rear guard of Uxbridge's cavalry.
