'The Honour of the English soldiery', 1651

Printed by Thomas Newcomb, London, 1651.

This pamphlet describes in great detail recent atrocities committed by foreign soldiers. It was intended to dissuade the English population from assisting King Charles II's Scottish army. Charles crossed the border into England on 6 August 1651, but was defeated at the Battle of Worcester on 9 September.
