Documents relating to Colonel Sir Frederick Ponsonby and his experiences at Waterloo, 1815
Ponsonby commanded the 12th (Prince of Wales's) Light Dragoons in the Peninsular War (1808-1814) and at Waterloo in 1815 where he survived despite being wounded in both arms, knocked off his horse by a sabre cut, stabbed in the back by a lancer and ridden over by Prussian cavalry.
