Part of the Allied invasion fleet formed in North Africa in 1943 for Operation HUSKY, the invasion of Sicily.
The Landing Craft Tank (LCT) was an amphibious assault ship for landing armoured vehicles on beachheads. Hundreds of LCTs were used during Operation HUSKY - the invasion of Sicily in July 1943.From an album containing 241 photographs compiled by Major W H J Sale, MC, 3rd/4th County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters).
