'Sgt. Freddy White', Normandy, 1944

In this image Sergeant Freddy White of the 3rd County of London Yeomanry, is examining one of the fortified defensive walls which are part of a German radar station at Douvres in Normandy, which had been captured on 17 June 1944. Some damage is evident, perhaps as a result of the attack.
