Mortar and crew, Devon and Dorset Regiment, 1960 (c)

A 3-inch (81.2 mm) mortar and crew. Developing on the design of the Stokes mortar used during World War One (1914-1918) the Mark 2 3-inch mortar was a standard British Army support weapon throughout World War Two. The Mark 2 was replaced by the L16 81 mm mortar in 1965.
