In the winter of 1944/1945, after the failure of the Operation MARKET GARDEN, 'A' and 'C' Squadrons of the Sharpshooters were situated to the east of Eindhoven in North Brabant, Holland. It undertook training and maintenance in the Asten area, using ranges at Liesel, and across the border, at Lommel in Belgium.
