Trooper Reginald James Humphreys, 3rd County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters), aged 23, was killed on a reconnaissance patrol led by Lieutenant Kenneth Colville Kiddle on the outskirts of San Severo on 27 September 1943. The patrol's four scout cars were knocked out by a German 88 mm gun.
