Searchlight projector, Mk 8, 1937, used by the Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS) searchlight troop, 1943 (c)

Made by Chance Brothers Company Ltd, 1937.

Many anti-aircraft batteries had male and female personnel. Members of the ATS served as gunners, range finders, height-fighters and sound detectors while others operated search lights and radar equipment.
