Members of the West Indies Auxiliary Territorial Service, 1943 (c)

Caribbean women served in the ATS (Auxiliary Territorial Service) in Britain from 1943 onwards as clerical workers, telephonists, cooks and drivers. They also staffed anti-aircraft guns and barrage balloons. West Indian women also served in the Women's Auxiliary Air Force (WAAF).
