Subadar-Major Bale Tewari, 1st Brahmans, 1913 (c)

Subedar Bale (or Bhole) Tewari, was an Indian officer and leading member of his regiment's hockey team. He later served in the First World War and achieved some fame as the mentor of legendary Indian hockey star Dhyan Chand.

From album of 26 photographs, 1904-1931. Associated with the 1st Brahmans, later the 4th/1st Punjab Regiment.
