Capstan Navy Cut tobacco box containing fragments of a billiard ball, 1857 (c)

The fragments of ivory are reputedly the remains of a billiard ball from the officers' mess of the 61st Bengal Native Infantry, burnt during the Indian Mutiny, 1857. The 61st mutinied at Jalandhar in 1857.
