Grenadier's bearskin cap, 97th Regiment of Foot (Inverness-shire Highlanders), 1794 (c)

This pattern of grenadier's bearskin cap was introduced in 1768. The 97th regiment existed from 1794 to 1795 when the battalion company men were drafted mainly to the Royal Marines and those of the flank companies to the 42nd Foot.
