Long Service and Good Conduct Medal awarded to Sergeant John Taylor, 13th Hussars, 1866 (c)

John Taylor served in India with the 3rd (King's Own Light) Dragoons, transferring to the 13th (Light) Dragoons on 1 July 1853. He was invalided to England on 15 April 1855. Although Taylor legitimately possesses a Balaklava clasp to his Crimea War Medal he is not believed to have participated in the Charge of the Light Brigade.
