Set of six silver 'Boer War' teaspoons, 1899

Silver, all by 'WA', probably William Aitken of Birmingham, assayed in Chester and Birmingham, 1899.

Each spoon has a portrait in bas relief at the end of the handle. They depict portraits of Generals Sir John French, Sir Redvers Buller, Robert Stephenson, Smyth Baden-Powell, Sir George White, Field Marshal Frederick Sleigh Roberts and Horatio Herbert Kitchener.
