Baker .625 inch flintlock rifle, 1823 (c)

First introduced in 1800, the Baker Rifle was steadily improved and developed until the definitive model was perfected in 1806. More accurate and of longer range than muskets, during the Napoleonic era this weapon was primarily used by the 60th and 95th Rifles, but several other regiments acquired rifles for use by members of their light companies. The light infantry units of the King's German Legion also used the Baker Rifle.
