Pattern 1897 Japanese arisaka bayonet sword
This model of bayonet was used in both World Wars. The single edged blade on this example bears the mark of Kokura arsenal. The bayonet incorporated a quillon designed to catch and break an opponent's bayonet in hand-to-hand combat. The quillon was retained by the Japanese long after other armies had removed them.
