Headquarters 22nd Armoured Brigade sign, 1993

22nd Armoured Brigade was a an armoured brigade of the British Army that was active in the Second World War and the Cold War. It fought throughout the Second World War, from the Western Desert, to Tunisia, to Naples and Normandy.

It was disbanded in 1960, but the brigade was reconstituted as an armoured brigade in 1981, and was assigned to the 1st Armoured Division and based at Campbell Barracks in Bergen-Hohne. It was disbanded finally in 1993 when it merged with 7th Armoured Brigade as part of the Options for Change restructuring.
