The son and father of a posthumous Indian Victoria Cross winner, 1945

Both were attending an investiture of gallantry awards to Indian Army troops on 19 December 1945. During the war 28 VCs were awarded to Indian soldiers of the Indian Army of which 12 were posthumous.
