Letter from Lady Delia Peel to Mrs Leslie Whateley CBE, Director and Chief Controller of the Auxiliary Territorial Service, 15 March 1945

Peel was Lady in Waiting to the Queen and her letter thanks Whateley for her letter of 8 March and comments on how pleased the Queen is that Princess Elizabeth was able to receive a commission in the Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS). She is also happy that Princess Elizabeth was able to raise the morale of her fellow soldiers.
