Bob Hart, Geoffrey Barber and Brian Balmer with their Crusader tank. The A15 Crusader (or MK VI Cruiser) first went into battle in Egypt in 1941 during Operation Battleaxe, but was outclassed by the German tanks due to its two-pounder gun. Later versions were fitted with the six-pounder gun. The Crusader was withdrawn from service at the end of the North African campaign.
From an album containing 620 photographs compiled by Major W H J Sale, MC, 3rd/4th County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters).
