Photograph by Major Wilfred Herbert James Sale, MC, 3rd/4th County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters), World War Two, North Africa, 1942 (c).

The Teller was the German Army's standard anti-tank mine during World War Two (1939-1945). It contained 11lb of High Explosive and was detonated when a protruding pin was forced into the mine due to the pressure of a tank passing over it.
