Airborne troops engage the enemy on the outskirts of Arnhem with a 75 mm gun, 19 September 1944

This image depicts a 75 mm Pack Howitzer. This light-weight weapon could be rapidly stripped down into four pieces for easy transportation. It could be carried in a Horsa glider alongside its ammunition trailer.
