Landing Craft Assault (LCA) landing at a beach-head, Burma, 1945 (c)

Photograph, World War Two, Far East (1941-1945), 1945 (c).

The troops are disembarking and forming chains to unload food and water containers. The LCA was built of wood with steel armour bolted on to protect the occupants.

From an album of 147 photographs, 1944-1945, relating to Brig M W Briggs, the 11th East African Division and the King's African Rifles.
