Vehicles and men on the deck of a LST bound for the Allied invasion of Italy. Part of 4th Armoured Brigade, the regiment landed at Taranto on 21 September 1943. It then fought in various actions in Italy until January 1944, when it returned with the rest of the Brigade to Britain.
