Lieutenant-Colonel Studholme Brownrigg, CB and the Russian Boys, 1855

Studholme Brownrigg commanded a battalion of the Grenadier Guards in the Crimea. He is pictured here with two Russian youths, probably drummer boys, who were captured in battle. Studholme Brownrigg later reached the rank of general.
