Surgeon's medical case, 1850 (c)

Mahogany case reinforced with brass strips and lined in dark red velvet, once containing 64 instruments.

The instruments in this Army surgeon's case include an amputating saw and knives, forceps, tooth key, bullet extractor and tourniquets.
