Gift box sent to military personnel living overseas at Christmas 2006
The red collapsible box contains a badge, commemorative tin and balloons all bearing the uk4u logo, a BAE systems book light, a 'spice fob', two Tetley tea bags and a box of Navy, Army and Air Force Institutes (NAAFI) teabags, a carabinier torch, a small Christmas cake, a small magnetic dual photograph frame (containing photographs of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh), a flashing red plastic nose, a green foldable mug and key-ring lens cleaner from Far-Side Marketing, a wind-up 'racing snail', a drinks can cooler, a snowman stress ball, a tube of concentrated soap, a santa hat and Christmas card from the box project's patron the Duke of Westminster.
The box also includes a leaflet listing the contents of the box and giving historical background on previous Christmas boxes for service personnel and a feedback form asking for the troops' favourite and 'least popular' items. A total of 24,500 boxes were sent to all British service personnel serving overseas at Christmas.
