Invitation to a dance on HMS 'Ajax', December 1918

It reads: 'The Ships company of HMS Ajax request the pleasure of the company of Miss G J Baxter at a dance onboard, Thursday December 26th Dancing from 2 till 7pm. Boat will leave X.L.Steps at 1.30pm. Please allow bearer to pass dockyard Gates'.

Georgina Baxter had to slide down a rope to disembark from the battleship as the tide had risen.
