Indian Army soldiers manhandling boxes of ammunition on the Tamu Road, Burma, 1944

Photograph, World War Two, Far East, 1944.

The Tamu Road had been blocked by a landslide during the monsoon and turned into a muddy track. The road ran from Imphal in India to Kalewa in Burma.
