The Federal Regular Army (FRA) was an Arab force with British officers that took part in the Aden conflict (1964-1967). The soldier depicted poses with a Bren L4 Light Machine Gun minus its magazine.

From a collection of 110 photographs collected by Private M Arnold, the 3rd Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment; collected whilst serving in Aden, October 1966 to May 1967.
