Formation badge, 13 Corps, 1942 (c)

13 (or XIII) Corps was formed during the North African campaign in November 1941, initially under the command of Lieutenant-General Richard O'Connor. Its badge depicts a leaping gazelle. Following its service in the Western Desert the formation landed in Sicily and Italy before ending the war on the Italian-Austrian border.
