Felix poppy pin badge, 2013

Felix was adopted as the unofficial mascot of 321 Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Company, Royal Army Ordnance Corps, in Northern Ireland during the 1970s after a signaller misheard a 'Phoenix' call-sign for 'Felix'. The mascot was later adopted by other units that make up what is now 11 Explosive Ordnance Disposal Regiment, Royal Logistic Corps.

Felix has appeared on numerous pin and cloth badges to represent the various campaigns of the regiment. The proceeds from this badge went to 'The William and Grace Trust' which provides relief for serving or former members of the Royal Logistic Corps who were injured whilst undertaking bomb disposal.
