A soldier in tropical dress holds up an unwanted guest, a venomous cobra snake, caught in camp, at Hebbal, Bangalore, Karnataka, 1916. The 25th Battalion were deployed to India in early 1916. It remained there until the end of World War One (1914-1918), serving on the North West Frontier, and stayed on to participate in the 3rd Afghan War (1919).
