Winston Churchill and Field Marshals Alanbrooke and Montgomery conduct an inspection of soldiers from 7 Armoured Division on parade in front of their Cruiser tank Challenger A30s and Cromwell tanks on Strasse des 17 Juni as part of the British Victory Parade in Berlin at the end of the Second World War.
The Victory Column (Siegessaüle) at the Großer Stern in the Tiergarten can be seen in the background.
Clement Atlee, the Labour Party Leader and MP who had defeated Churchill in the 1945 General Election, also attended. He succeeded Churchill as Prime Minister on 26 July 1945.
