In the build up for Operation TELIC, the invasion of Iraq in 2003, personnel from 17 Port and Maritime Regiment, Royal Logistics Corps, oversaw the disembarkation of vehicles and supplies at docks in Kuwait. Here, they await the arrival of the Challenger 2 tanks and support vehicles of the Queens Royal Lancers, transported from Germany on a Roll On Roll Off (RORO) ferry. Vehicle specialists are trained to drive all forms of wheeled and tracked vehicles.
