A Challenger 2 tank from The Queen's Royal Hussars secures a small air strip just outside Al Amarah, Iraq, 2006

The strip, in open countryside about two kilometres from Camp Abu Naji, required the immediate area to be checked for explosive devices prior to each incoming C-130 Hercules flight from Basra. Al Amarah is the provincial capital of Maysan.
