Exercise VENERABLE GAUNTLET, 2016

A Challenger tank of the Queen's Royal Hussars, part of 20th Armoured Infantry Brigade, participating in Exercise VENERABLE GAUNTLET at the Sennelager Training Area in Germany. Fourteen NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organisation) countries participated in the exercise to help demonstrate the alliance's principle of collective defence.

The picture shows British armour supporting an attack by 1st Battalion, The Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment and Estonian mechanised troops on an enemy stronghold.
