Allied troop landings began at Gallipoli on 25 April 1915. British, Indian and French soldiers fought alongside men from Australia and New Zealand, the 'ANZACs', whose exploits became a legend in their home countries.
From an album of photographs compiled by Lieutenant (later Lieutenant-General Sir) Reginald Arthur Savory, 14th Sikh Regiment.
