Grave marker of Captain William James Perry Goodbody (1906-1942), 3rd County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters), who died of wounds sustained during the German assault on the Gazala Line which began on 26 May 1942. Goodbody took part in an armoured engagement that helped stall the German outflanking move near Bir Hacheim. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission records his burial at Tobruk War Cemetery in Libya.
