Ethel Annie Camm married Percy Crofts Ottley on 28 September 1909 at St Martin's Church Womersley, Yorkshire. Her husband enlisted on 3 February 1916 and was sent to France with 1st/14th (County of London) Battalion, The London Regiment (London Scottish) in August 1917. He was killed at Bourlon Wood during the Battle of Cambrai on 23 November 1917.
