Haemostatic forceps, 1939-1945 (c)

Five straight scissor-like forceps with serrated jaws and self locking mechanism, were probably used to secure arteries against haemorrhage during surgery.

From a medical kit used by A C D Parsons, Royal Army Medical Corps, during World War Two (1939-1945).
