Ceremony at the World War One war memorial near Frere Hall, Karachi, 1921 (c)

The war memorial still stands in Karachi, the capital of the Pakistani province of Sindh. It commemorates units who fought in World War One (1914-1918), including the 124th Duchess of Connaught's Own Baluchistan Infantry, the 126th Baluchistan Infantry, the 127th Queen Mary's Own Baluch Light Infantry, the 129th Duke of Connaught's Own Baluchis and the 130th King George's Own Baluchis (Jacob's Rifles).

The memorial was unveiled by Edward, Prince of Wales (later King Edward VIII), on his tour of India, 1921-1922.

From an album of 42 photographs from the series 'With the Derajat Column in Waziristan', 1919-1920. The photographs were collected by Colonel G H Russell of the South Waziristan Scouts.
