Silver salver, 1926 (c)

Made by P Baker and Company, hallmarked London.

This salver was presented to Lieutenant-Colonel Guy Hamilton Russell by the officers of 6th Royal Battalion, 13th Frontier Force Rifles in 1925. Presumably it marked the commencement of a new stage in his career as second in command of the regiment, with the rank of brevet Lieutenant-Colonel, which ended in 1926 when he was posted to command the 4th Battalion, 12th Frontier Force Regiment.
