Drummer's tunic, Coldstream Guards, 1855 (c)
The Coldstream Guards' drummer's tunic, although ornate, was less heavily trimmed with white worsted lace than the coatee which it superseded. However, the lace retained its blue fleur de lys motif, which was common to all three regiments of the Guards. Among the Guards, the colouring of the blue and white worsted fringe to the collar and epaulettes was unique to the Coldstreams.
