Light Dragoon's flintlock pistol, 1800 (c)
This pistol is lighter than the heavy dragoon pistol and is also of smaller calibre. This caused problems when troopers were armed with pistols and carbines of different calibre. The lock plate on this piece is marked 'Dublin Castle' which indicates the weapon was made for the Irish Board of Ordnance.
