Recruiting poster, colour lithograph, recruiting poster for the Women's Royal Army Corps (WRAC), published by the Ministry of Defence, 1981.
This recruitment poster uses various photographs to give potential new recruits into the WRAC an impression of what life will be like in the Corps.
By this time, women of the WRAC had served in Malaya, Kenya, Cyprus, Singapore, Aden, Germany, Ghana and Northern Ireland as well as at home in the UK. It was also around this time that women were finally able to train in, carry and use firearms in the British Army.
