'John Currie's grave near Camilly', Normandy, 1944

Brigadier John Currie MC, a veteran of World War One, was commanding 4th Armoured Brigade in Normandy. After running an order group in Bretteville, the group was dispersing from the railway station and he was killed by shell fire directed at the station.
