Model soldier box, W Britain, Royal Warwickshire Regiment (At the Salute), 1905 (c)-1920

Cardboard box manufactured by W Britain Limited, Set 206, 'Royal Warwickshire Regiment (At the Salute)', from the 'British Soldiers' series.

The box lid has a yellow paper label with images of Royal Warwickshire Regiment soldiers in Home Service uniform, the regimental badge (black buck antelope) and the battle honours of the regiment listed: 'Namur 1695' (Nine Years War), 'Corunna', 'Pyrenees', 'Peninsula', (Peninsular War, 1808-1814) 'South Africa 1846-7' (7th Cape Frontier War), 'Atbara' and 'Khartoum' (Omdurman), (2nd Sudan War, 1896-1899) and 'South Africa 1899-1902' (Boer War).

The box contained eight lead toy soldiers, miniatures of seven other ranks and one officer at the salute in Home Service uniform.
